SWIM IS TAKING THE ARIRANG ERA STRAIGHT INTO AWARD SEASON. πŸ˜­πŸ†πŸ’œ

BTS have officially earned two nominations at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards for β€œSWIM,” the title track from their fifth studio album ARIRANG.

The nominations are:

πŸ† Song of the Year β€” SWIM
πŸ’œ Best K-Pop β€” SWIM

And there is another Bangtan connection inside Best K-Pop too:

LE SSERAFIM’s β€œSPAGHETTI,” featuring j-hope of BTS, is also nominated.

That means the 2026 VMA Best K-Pop category contains both an OT7 BTS nomination AND a separate track featuring Hoseok.

The Song of the Year nomination is especially huge because it places SWIM in one of the ceremony’s major general categories rather than only within K-pop.

According to Paramount’s official nominee list, BTS have two nominations total at this year’s ceremony.

The 2026 VMAs are scheduled for September 27 in Los Angeles, and fan voting is already open for eligible categories.
